In the evening of Thursday, September 12th, there will be an official reception for all HIELC attendees by the Hamburg state Senate. The state Senate is the executive branch of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg lead by First Mayor Olaf Scholz as Hamburg is not only a major German city but also a partially sovereign federal state in the Federal Republic of Germany. The reception will take place in the magnificent “Commerzsaal” of the historic Handelskammer building (Hamburg Chamber of Commerce).
